Rites of Passage is an age-old practice in which the community supports teenagers through a challenge which brings them into adulthood. Every child needs inititaion. Furthermore, research shows that nature rehabilitative programs are the most successful and effective means by which to reduce recidivism in juveniles and deter youth from entering the prison pipeline.

We ae honored to partner with the Quapaw Canoe Company and the Ombudsman Alternative School to work towards bringing Clarksdale youth through a long-term excursion on the mighty Mississippi River.
